We have all the scenery you need, including a grand staircase and majestic chandelier, an outdoor wooded area with twinkle lights, and a field where you will find the most captivating sunsets. BRIDAL PORTRAIT SESSION
When you book your wedding with us, you are welcome to use our venue for your bridal portrait session any time during our office hours. Bridal portraits are a Southern tradition, and sometimes a family tradition; if your mother and grandmother had bridal portraits made, you might be expected to contribute your own to the family album.
Bridal portraits were originally taken at photography studios, but today’s photo sessions are often held indoors and outdoors at the wedding venue. Our secluded setting is just perfect for this purpose.
WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY
Your wedding photographer will be given free reign to photograph your event anywhere on the venue grounds. We do not have restrictions on photography or video because we want you to make as many wonderful memories as possible and have a record of them.
Traditional photo opportunities include the wedding party’s walk down the aisle; the bride’s arrival and walk to the ceremony spot; the couple’s vows and first kiss as newlyweds; the presentation of the couple as “Mr. and Mrs.” on the grand staircase; the wedding toast; the cake cutting; the first dance; and the bride and groom’s departure. Other fond, candid moments can be captured as well. The more photos, the better!
OUR PHOTOGENIC SCENERY
Two things that set Hidden Creek apart from other venues are our private location and our breathtaking scenery. Our scenic offerings include:
- The Field. We have an empty field just across the street where couples love to pose for sunset portraits. These always turn out stunning.
- The Front Staircase. Our iron-railed wooden staircase sits below our grand chandelier. Both are customer favorites and very photogenic. We can adjust the lighting to make this setting even more romantic.
- The Harbor. Hidden Creek is near the harbor of Lake Ray Hubbard, which makes for a wonderful lakeside photo op.
- The Enchanted Trees. Our outdoor ceremony area is surrounded by a grove of trees adorned with magical twinkle lights.
- The Barn Doors. The doors to our indoor, barn-style ballroom are a popular rustic backdrop for photos.
ADDITIONAL PHOTO PROPS
To add some fun to your occasion, we offer selfie station and photo booth rentals. You and your guests can have a blast dressing up in funny hats, masks, and other cute and humorous props. Photo booths are already a wedding staple, and selfie stations are growing in popularity. They are great ways for guests to have some fun and share their photos with you.
We also have a boxwood hedge wall for rent as a naturally beautiful photo backdrop. Props that are included with our venue include rustic wine barrels and elegant artists’ easels.
