Music is a wedding tradition that sets the tone for your special day, both during the ceremony and afterwards at the reception. At Hidden Creek, we have everything you need to make music an integral part of your special occasion.
There are so many moments where your music choices help define your wedding day: the arrival of the bride; the couple’s introduction as husband and wife; the first dance; and all throughout the reception. Your song selections will set the tone and ambiance of the event. Will yours be traditional, trendy, or a mixture of both? Will you make a playlist full of songs with special meaning to you or hire a DJ to play dance-floor hits? Whatever you choose, our indoor and outdoor sound systems and hookups will make your wedding music sound spectacular.
CEREMONY MUSIC
It’s traditional to choose music to play during the wedding procession and recession. The processional music plays while the wedding party makes it way down the aisle. Then it is replaced with Wagner’s “Bridal Chorus” as the bride arrives and begins her walk.
Recessional music tends to be more joyful and celebratory. It plays while the wedding party and newlyweds leave the ceremony site. You can personalize these special moments by choosing modern arrangements of the classics, or instrumental covers of popular love songs. Of course, the classics are classic for a reason, so it never hurts to stick to tradition during the ceremony, if that’s your preference.
RECEPTION MUSIC
The music that plays at your reception will be the soundtrack for your first dance, your parents’ dances, and the start of a new phase of your life. Make it enjoyable for all your guests by choosing iconic songs from a variety of decades. Mix in some modern and classic dance hits, and your guests will get on the dance floor and have a great time. For an additional $175 fee, we will change the colors of our dramatic uplighting from your initial color choices to something more playful as your dance music begins.
Some couples prefer to bring their own curated playlists for their reception, while others hire a DJ to take care of the evening’s entertainment. You could even bring in a band or quartet for live music. The choice is entirely up to you. Your reception is the perfect chance to let the music reflect your personality as a couple.
OUR SOUND SYSTEM
Hidden Creek provides indoor and outdoor sound systems for your use. The outdoor sound system is included in the price of your package, and includes speakers, a microphone for the wedding officiant, and an auxiliary cord for a DJ to plug into.
Our indoor AV system is available to rent for $350. It comes with speakers and microphones to project the sounds of your wedding toast, speeches, and other special moments for all to hear. This system sounds great in our indoor ballroom and reception area.
PREFERRED DJS
A talented DJ can turn a wedding reception into a truly memorable event by playing good music and getting the crowd engaged in the fun. Couples are free to bring in a DJ of their choice. If you’d like some help choosing one, we do have a list of preferred DJs who have been approved by our venue because of their outstanding skill and customer service.

DJs can set up at any time during your reserved block of hours. Music can be played as late as 1 am. Our secluded location allows us to celebrate into the night without noise restrictions.
